ETH is down nearly 5% on the day, and the whole market has made the situation clear with one red candle.
【Market Snapshot】
BTC $81,494 | -2.93% | 24h volume: 14,143 BTC
ETH $2,424 | -4.80% | 24h volume: 311,617 ETH
BNB $726.6 | -3.56% | 24h volume: 117,604 BNB
【My Take】
BTC has fallen below the 82,000 level, which has been a key battleground between bulls and bears since September. The price is now hovering around 81,500, a retest zone after breaking below support. In terms of volume, BTC's 24-hour trading volume has not surged unusually, suggesting this isn't a deliberate sell-off by major players but more likely a leveraged-position flush—a passive drop triggered by long liquidations.
ETH's decline is steeper than BTC's, with more pronounced pressure from the long-short ratio. The 2,400 level is an important near-term support, and price is currently just clinging to it. If 2,380 gives way, there may be room to fall toward 2,200. ETH's continued weakness against BTC is the main reason I'm in no rush to add to my ETH position.
BNB is holding up relatively well, but its tendency to follow the market down without following it up has appeared several times over the past two months. Structurally, it remains weak.
【Plan】
BTC:
- Bullish condition: Regain and hold above 83,000, with volume confirming; consider entering with a small position.
- Exit / stand aside: If it falls below 79,500, don't fight the move; wait and reassess at lower levels.
ETH:
- Key support: 2,380. If it holds, consider a small long position.
- If it breaks below 2,380, stop out and exit. Don't try to call the bottom.
This is a time to observe more than trade. Position sizing matters more than getting the direction right.
