BTC 81,032 (-0.9%), pulled back after hitting an overnight high of 84,250. The 81,000 level is holding for now. ETH 2,411 (-1.4%), briefly wicked down to 2,407, with the key 2,400 level under pressure. BNB 722.5 (-1.4%), steadily sliding from 757. SOL 102.2 (-3.3%), the worst performer among the majors, and it hasn't even come close to the 110 resistance level.
But today's biggest story isn't price action: a trending post with 280,000 views on the platform says BTC options implied volatility has fallen to a five-year low of 33.5%, while large players are buying a concentrated volume of 78,000/80,000 puts as "insurance," with a notional value of about $1.1 billion. Volatility compressed to the extreme + big money hedging: either we break upward, or a big move is coming.
In the short term, 80,000 is the lifeline. Hold it, and a rebound to 84,000 is still on the cards. Lose it, and there's little support below.
