BTC falls below $82,500! Yesterday’s rebound is unraveling—can $80,000 hold?
$BTC Latest price: around $81,830, down 2.21% in 24 hours, with a low of $81,682.
Yesterday, BTC was still testing $84,000. Today, it has fallen back below $82,000.
The most notable thing about this decline isn’t its size, but that the support that had been holding is starting to fail.
【What’s changing in the market?】
$82,500 had been an important short-term support level. Now that the price has broken below it, the rebound structure is starting to weaken.
Fund flows are also worth watching.
From 10/7 to 10/8, U.S. spot BTC ETFs saw combined net outflows of about $729 million. On 10/9, flows turned positive, with net inflows of $21.1 million, but the recovery was limited.
I’m revising my short-term outlook to bearish, but I don’t think $80,000 is necessarily bound to give way.
$82,300–$82,500: Former support has turned into short-term resistance. Reclaiming this range would offer a chance to repair the downtrend.
$81,500–$81,700: A recent support zone. If it breaks, watch the $80,000–$80,500 range.
Also, U.S. CPI data is due on 10/14, and the market may adjust positions in advance.
The biggest risk right now isn’t missing the rebound—it’s treating every dip as a buying opportunity.
If BTC can reclaim and hold above $82,500, I’ll become less bearish in the short term. Otherwise, I’ll continue to focus on managing downside risk.
Do you think BTC will fall below $80,000 first, or climb back above $83,000?
