Definition: Here, moving above or breaking below refers to price crossing a moving average; it is not the same as a golden cross or a death cross. A golden cross usually means a short-term moving average crossing above a long-term moving average, such as MA50 crossing above MA200; a death cross is the opposite.
How to read it: An intraday move across the average and a close holding on the other side are two different things. It is more meaningful if, after the daily close, price remains on the other side of the moving average.
All indicators only describe past price movements; the market can move in the opposite direction at any time.
