Last week we watched $BTC get hammered in a liquidity hunt that flushed stops below the range like it was nothing.

Plenty of traders got stopped out right around those $80k lows, sitting on the sidelines as the bounce happened without them. That sting of selling the bottom or missing the reclaim is something most of us have felt more than once.

The selloff was aggressive and took out most of the local downside liquidity in days. Buyers then stepped in hard around the $80k to $81k zone and shoved price back above the range lows. Yesterday’s weekly close printed well above the previous swing high, giving us the bullish weekly close that often marks a shift. This reclaim looks a lot like the $ETH bounce after its own liquidity grab last cycle, or even $BTC’s earlier 2024 pattern where a similar weekly close kicked off the next push.

Range lows are now reclaimed, which historically opens the door for continuation rather than more downside. These deviation moves tend to shake out weak hands before the real trend resumes, and the speed of this bounce feels cleaner than some of the lingering $SOL dumps we’ve seen.
