$LTC There’s something to this move in the early hours.

15m volume surged to 5.38×, the taker buy/sell ratio hit 3.77, and the closing price broke above the highs of the last 20 5m candles. This wasn’t a low-volume wick—there was real money sweeping the market.

More importantly, OI was up 0.68% on 15m and 0.57% on 1h, with an anomaly percentile of 99.6%, second-highest across the entire pool. Price up, open interest up—that’s the setup for new leveraged longs entering, not a rally driven by short covering. And it’s been holding across several consecutive timeframes, not just a one-candle spike.

24h trading volume is only 87M, so the market isn’t particularly deep. If an anomalous inflow of this size continues, volatility won’t be low.

LTC is an old coin that usually doesn’t move much, but when it does, it’s often been coiling for a while. It’s now near the extreme end of its own historical range. I wouldn’t chase the first candle, but I’ll be watching to see whether volume holds up over the next few 5m candles—if it does, that’s a breakout; if not, it’s a bull trap.

A signal at 3:30 a.m. often means someone in the Asian session knows something ahead of time. I’ll make a note of it.
