Binance launches 4 new TradFi perpetuals: what to know before trading
Binance Futures is launching several USDT-margined perpetual contracts on traditional assets today, including ZCSHUSDT, MSTUUSDT, SNPSUSDT, and RDWUSDT, with maximum leverage of 20x (ChainCatcher).
The background
→ Binance’s TradFi perpetuals launched in January with gold (XAUUSDT, January 5), followed by silver (XAGUSDT, January 7)
→ On October 7, tokenized stocks (bStocks) were added as margin collateral
→ This Monday, four new contracts
How it works
→ Contracts are settled in USDT and have no expiration date
→ They trade 24/7, even when the underlying market is closed
→ Outside market hours, according to TradeInformer, the price index remains fixed at the last market price, while the mark price is smoothed
What to keep in mind: you don’t own the asset; you’re only exposed to its price. With high leverage, a gap when the market reopens may be enough to trigger liquidation.
My analysis: Binance is building a comprehensive offering around traditional assets (tokens, collateral, derivatives). The broader the offering gets, the more the quality of information about these assets matters. This is a hypothesis, not a Binance announcement.
This is not investment advice. Check the underlying assets in the official announcement.
Do you trade traditional assets on a crypto platform, or do you prefer a conventional broker? #BitcoinOptionsVolatilityHitsFiveYearLow
