Bitcoin: Are the Bulls Being Lured into a Trap?*
Bitcoin held around $83 p00, but behind the impressive rebounds there may be an unpleasant scenario. After rising to $84,000–84,300, the price pulled back, and now the main question is whether this is a normal correction or preparation for the next sell-off.
The bull trap works simply: the market shows signs of recovery, traders rush to open long positions, expecting the rally to continue. Then the price loses momentum, breaks through local support, and yesterday’s optimists start closing their positions at a loss. Their stop-losses become additional fuel for the decline.
Key levels: $82,400 is the nearest important support zone; $83,500–84,000 is the range buyers need to reclaim and hold. A break of support followed by a sustained move below it would strengthen the bearish scenario. A decisive move back above resistance would weaken the case for a trap.
Strategy: don’t buy just because of a green bounce. First, we need to see the price hold above resistance or break support and retest it from below. Until there’s confirmation, the market could punish both sides.
My bias is cautiously bearish until BTC reclaims the levels it has lost. But this is a scenario, not a guarantee.
