USDe’s X Layer assessment: liquidation exit routes before lending scale
In LlamaRisk’s Aave assessment released on October 12, USDe’s integration on X Layer received conditional support: before launch, sufficient local DEX liquidity needs to be established to provide liquidators with a reliable exit market. This is a citation of the assessment recommendation, not a claim that governance has already executed it or that the market is already open.
The report describes that at the time, local exit liquidity was insufficient, and liquidators would need to rely on off-chain or cross-chain routes. I am not treating the report’s timing as current market conditions, nor am I describing the liquidity deployment planned by the team as already completed.
What is worth examining is the time constraint on liquidation. Cross-chain channels can transfer assets; they answer how assets arrive in another market. Whether liquidators can sell the received assets in time still depends on the exit path and the depth available to absorb them. The former capability does not automatically prove the latter.
Therefore, before lending-market expansion, valuable evidence should include the actual establishment of a local exit market, quotes across different trade sizes, and liquidation execution records under stress conditions. This is my research judgment; this article does not provide real-time depth or yield forecasts.
When looking at this recommendation, one can first track whether the prerequisites are verifiably met, and then study the final execution parameters. Plans, risk opinions, and executed configurations each require corresponding documentation.
