To get straight to the point: when I was just learning technical analysis, I’d jump in whenever I saw a MACD golden cross and run whenever I saw a death cross. I ended up getting whipsawed in sideways markets.
Looking at this 4-hour death cross on $XRP now, the first thing I check is its position: below the zero line. A death cross below the zero line suggests the decline isn’t over yet, so I’d trade less.
Does this make sense to you?
It’s up to you how you trade; I’m just recording my thoughts.
