Today, while you're having breakfast, Wall Street is throwing its doors wide open to XRP. Evernorth Holdings—a company with one purpose: to accumulate XRP—is beginning to trade on Nasdaq under the ticker XRPN. And this isn't just a rumor: its merger with Armada Acquisition Corp. II closed on Friday, and the company enters the market with 473 million XRP on its balance sheet, worth around $672 million at today's price, plus $300 million in cash. Read that again: nearly three-quarters of a billion dollars in XRP... held by a single publicly traded company. 🚀
And who’s behind it? It’s not four enthusiasts from a Telegram group. Ripple is contributing about 126.8 million of those XRP, and among the backers are Arrington Capital, Pantera Capital, Kraken, SBI Group, and GSR. To top it off, the person managing the treasury will be Hugo Jeandesboz, former co-head of investments at Coinbase Asset Management. This doesn’t smell like an improvised bet: it smells like a serious institutional plan.
And watch out, because this is not a passive ETF that just sits on the coins. Evernorth says it is going to PUT THAT XRP TO WORK: institutional lending, liquidity provision, DeFi strategies, ecosystem participation... aiming to make each action worth more XRP over time. It’s the active treasury model, not the “I buy and go to sleep” one.
The context makes it even spicier: last week Bitcoin ETFs bled $681 million in outflows and Ethereum ones also suffered... but XRP funds were the ONLY ones that ended the week in the green, with $11.31 million in net inflows. While money was fleeing BTC, someone was still buying exposure to XRP. Coincidence... or signal? 👀
Now the other side of the story, because we’re not selling smoke here: that $473 million treasury was ALREADY funded before the debut. In other words, no new wave of market buying enters today because of this announcement; the real buying pressure will come later, if the active strategy works. Also, there are convertible notes in the structure that could dilute shareholders down the road, and the XRPN stock will trade with its own premium or discount relative to the value of the XRP it holds. Buying XRPN is not the same as buying XRP.
Technically, XRP is trading at $1.38, still below its moving averages after the scare on October 8, when it hit $1.32 in the middle of ETF panic. The first wall is at $1.43 and the second at $1.50. If today’s debut sparks institutional interest, breaking $1.43 with volume would be the signal that the bulls have taken control. If it fails... support at $1.32 is back on the radar. And this week is packed with macro: CPI inflation on Wednesday and PPI on Thursday. Volatility guaranteed. ⚠️
Question to think about: is this wave of crypto treasuries on the stock market the real institutional adoption we’ve been waiting for... or just Wall Street packaging our coins to charge fees? I’m reading you below. 👇
