Night-session futures, logging trade by trade
In the futures market, I only watch how crowded the trade is—not what people are saying in chat groups.
There are only three sets of numbers that matter for futures. Everything else is noise.
1. BTC 82954, 24h 82411-84352, change -1.03%.
2. BTC notional open interest: $7.77 billion, 24h -0.25%
3. Account-wide long/short ratio: 1.47
My take: The funding rate is near zero at 0.0019%, and the long/short ratio is 1.47. Leverage hasn't picked a side. If it hasn't picked a side, don't use high leverage to pick one for it.
Execution ranges (based on current price ± structure, not an old chart):
- Breakout zone: Only consider chasing above 83,618. Below that, it's a false breakout.
- Buy the retest: 81,959-82,456. If it loses that range, don't buy.
- No-trade zone: If the 1h candle closes below 81,461, skip this trade.
My position: I only buy retests; I don't chase breakouts. If the structure holds, I can keep a core position. Any add-on must wait for the retest zone.
Data: Binance spot 24h / Binance USDⓈ-M / Yahoo daily (5-day change) / altme_fng / mempool_fees / defillama_chains / coingecko_trending. I don't fill in missing figures.
When memes aren't outperforming BTC, are you still holding them?

Takeaway: The funding rate shows who's paying—not who's more right.
Insight: ETH weaker than BTC: liquidity is contracting; pause altcoin trend-following entries first.
