How do Bitcoin and Ethereum differ in the way they record balances?
For every transaction sent from an Ethereum externally owned account, its nonce increases by 1. Transactions must be executed in nonce order, and each nonce can only be used once.
A UTXO can only be spent once. If the payment amount is less than the UTXO’s value, the excess is returned to the sender’s address as change.
When managing positions, the most important thing to remember is this: if a transaction on Ethereum hasn’t been included in a block yet, subsequent transactions will be queued. You can resend it with the same nonce and a higher gas fee to replace it.
