TIA at $0.55—would you dare to buy the dip?
It’s rallied from $0.47 to $0.63, up 21% in a week. Everyone is shouting “modular is back,” but on-chain fees are only a few dozen dollars a day. Is this a genuine reversal, or the last hurrah for narrative-driven coins?

First: Fibre’s testnet hit 3.07 Tb/s. Impressive, but it’s still a testnet.
The market is interpreting this as “the data availability layer can handle massive amounts of rollups,” pushing both the price and open interest higher.
Testnet data isn’t mainnet revenue, and a PowerPoint presentation isn’t cash flow. You can buy into the narrative, but don’t mistake it for financial results.

Second: The inflation proposal cuts issuance from 5% to 0.25% plus burns. Sounds enticing, but it hasn’t been activated yet.
The Sustainable Blob Economy proposal, revised in late September, aims to bring annual issuance down from around 5% to 0.25%, alongside fee burns. This is a turning point in the inflation narrative.
But for now, it’s still a proposal—not an activated mainnet parameter.
Public data shows that 24-hour fees have at times been as low as a few dozen dollars, while 30-day fees are nowhere near enough to justify a market cap of over $500 million.
Lower inflation is a good thing, but deflation on a chain with no fees is just deflation in name only.

Third: Take a closer look at unlock-related noise. Don’t let old news from two years ago scare you to death.
People online are still saying “around 175 million TIA unlock on October 30”—that was the large unlock in 2024, not 2026.
About 93% of the supply has been unlocked so far. Linear releases to core contributors are nearing their end; what’s ending is a daily drip of hundreds of thousands of tokens, not a one-time dump. The next relatively sizable unlock is around 5.6 million tokens on October 31 (about 0.6% of supply).
Selling pressure is an order of magnitude smaller than in 2024, but that doesn’t mean there’s “no supply.”

Trading strategy
Short term:
Consider a small long position only if the 4-hour or daily candle closes back above $0.58–$0.59. Target $0.62–$0.63, with a stop below $0.54.
A decisive break below $0.55 (ideally confirmed by a 4-hour close) invalidates the short-term bullish setup. The next level to watch is $0.52, then $0.50 if that fails.
If it tests $0.63 and fails, with volume fading, consider trimming at the highs.

Swing trade:
Bullish scenario: Holds $0.50, and Fibre gets a mainnet timeline or blob fees show a visible jump; then look toward $0.70.
Neutral scenario: Trades between $0.50 and $0.63 while the October 31 unlock and profit-taking are absorbed.
Bearish scenario: Falls back below $0.47. This round of trading on the modular narrative is over, with downside toward $0.40.
