Why does changing just one character completely transform the entire hash?
Ethereum uses Keccak-256. Keccak-256 and the later standardized SHA3-256 differ in their padding rules, so they produce different results.
Don’t confuse transaction hashes with private keys: transaction hashes can be public, but private keys and recovery phrases must never be shared.
Mining $BTC essentially involves continuously calculating SHA-256 hashes to find a result that meets the difficulty requirement. Currently: 82517.99.
