AI Giants Are Sounding the Alarm!!!

Capital Is Replacing Chips and Power
As the Biggest Bottleneck to AI Development

Broadcom CEO Hock Tan said that capital is replacing chips, memory, and power supply as the biggest constraint on the AI industry’s development.
He warned that many AI investors don’t understand the technology they’re betting on, yet expect high returns—their investment behavior is like gambling in a casino.

Tan cited OpenAI as an example, noting that its annualized revenue reached $50 billion in September, but the high cost of training models still leaves the company unprofitable. Revenue growth does not mean its business model has been validated. He also predicted that wafer shortages could ease between 2028 and 2029, while power supply may gradually loosen as new infrastructure comes online.

Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan also said that rising financing costs and uncertainty over investment returns are becoming core challenges for the AI industry. Although both executives believe demand for computing power will remain strong over the next two to three years, Tan warned that demand for computing infrastructure could slow significantly if the adoption of advanced AI models falls short of expectations or progress in model capabilities hits a bottleneck. $SOXL
