Guys, Ethereum had barely rebounded when institutions poured cold water on the rally.
According to the data, U.S. spot ETH ETFs saw net outflows of $542 million in the week ending October 9, their worst weekly performance since January this year.
Even more concerning, there have been net outflows for nine consecutive trading days, with total withdrawals nearing $700 million!
BlackRock’s ETHA alone saw around $477 million in outflows for the week, accounting for 88% of the total.
This isn’t just a minor blip— institutional interest is clearly cooling off.
Looking at the charts, ETH has rebounded above $2,500, but trading volume is weak, and it still needs more momentum for a genuine reversal.
I’m leaning bearish in the short term, with $2,587 as the key level!
A break above $2,587 and holding there could reopen the door to further gains.
If ETH can’t reclaim this level, I’m more inclined to expect another pullback: first to $2,300, and if weakness persists, then watch $2,155.
The biggest danger in crypto is mistaking a bounce during a downtrend for the start of a new bull run.
ETF funds are still flowing out, and the price hasn’t made a convincing breakout. At this stage, I’d rather wait patiently for an opportunity than rush to buy at higher prices.
My view is that ETH’s short-term correction may not be over yet. Until it can hold above $2,587, stay prepared for a pullback!
