The window for front-running has narrowed from exposing the entire transaction to leaving only the address and fee visible. $APT has officially launched an encrypted mempool on mainnet. The current price is 0.8704 USDT, down 0.46% over 24 hours. Function calls and inputs remain encrypted until the block is finalized, while sender addresses and fees are still publicly visible. I see this as narrowing the MEV surface, not eliminating it: some readable call details are gone, but targeted transaction monitoring hasn’t been fully stopped. The price has barely moved, and the market hasn’t treated it as a sentiment catalyst for now. Next, I’m more interested in whether the number of transactions actually getting sandwiched has fallen.
