Today's BTC short-term analysis
Although Thailand has finalized its rules for Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, which is somewhat positive news, prices barely reacted—instead, they fell. There are probably a few reasons for this:
1. The positive news is too minor and too far off
Thailand's ETF rules won't officially take effect until October 16, and they apply to the local market, which is far smaller than the U.S. ETF market. In the short term, they have almost no real impact on global capital flows.
2. Greater selling pressure is still there
U.S. equity ETFs saw large outflows for several consecutive days, leveraged liquidations have yet to be fully absorbed, and overall market risk appetite is low. In times like these, minor positive news simply can't withstand the selling pressure.
3. Once positive news is priced in, it can turn bearish
Another possibility is that some people positioned themselves ahead of the announcement. Once it actually takes effect, it becomes a reason to sell instead. This "buy the rumor, sell the news" pattern is very common in crypto.
4. The technical picture is weak to begin with
The price has already broken key support after falling from 84350. Bears are in control, and any minor news is easily ignored.
The candlestick chart shows a rally followed by a pullback, with consecutive bearish candles. Support is at 82650, while resistance is at 83300–83500.
Here's how I see it:
- If 82700–82800 holds, you could try a small long position for a rebound, targeting 83300–83500.
- If the price breaks below 82650, consider going short, targeting 82200–82000.
The market is currently weak and range-bound. Keep your position size small and set your stop-loss. #比特币期权波动率创五年新低 $BTC
