What exactly does a candlestick record?
The crypto market operates around the clock, all year round. The “open” of a daily candle is simply a point in time determined by the time zone. Binance daily candles are divided by default at 00:00 UTC (08:00 Beijing time), subject to the chart’s time zone settings.
The thick section in the middle of a candlestick is the body, and the thin lines extending from either end are the wicks. The top of the upper wick marks the highest price during that period.
The most important thing to keep in mind when managing a position: relying on just one or two candlesticks can easily mislead you. You can make a more informed assessment by looking at longer timeframes and trading volume as well.
