Most people spend 90% of their time predicting the market and 0% reviewing their own performance. They’ve got it backwards.
Write down three things for every trade: why you entered (your reasoning), what went right or wrong (in execution),
and what you’ll change next time (a specific action). Stick with it for a month, and you’ll be shocked to discover that your losses…
Your trade log is full of the same mistakes repeated over and over—for example, immediately reversing direction after a stop-loss,
or always closing winning trades too soon.
The market changes, but your behavior patterns won’t change on their own unless you keep an eye on them and work to change them. The market is the most
honest teacher, and your trade history is your report card. Don’t just look at your account balance—go through your trading records.
