What are Memo and Tag used for when depositing?
The XRP Ledger allows receiving accounts to enable the “destination tag required” setting. Once enabled, payments without a tag will be rejected.
A Memo / Tag is just a note for the recipient. The blockchain doesn’t check whether its contents are correct, so a transfer will still go through even if you enter the wrong one.
