🇭🇰 $SOL Hong Kong’s second spot ETF lists tomorrow: Why is the price up only 2%?
Official Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing documents confirm that the Pando Solana ETF is expected to list on October 13 under stock code 2831. The board lot is 100 shares, trading is in Hong Kong dollars, and settlement is T+2.
This gives Asian investors another way to gain exposure to Solana through a regulated securities market.
But SOL didn’t surge out of control after the announcement.
The price is currently around $111.2, up about 1.8% over 24 hours, while trading volume has increased by about 63%. Over the past 7 days, it’s still down around 7.5%. This suggests that market interest is growing, but investors haven’t yet priced the ETF listing as a one-way breakout.
What really needs to be verified isn’t “whether there’s an ETF,” but whether people buy it after it lists:
• Whether 2831 sees active trading on its first day
• Whether its market price trades at a significant premium or discount to net asset value
• Whether sustained creations follow, rather than just a burst of news-driven interest
Note: ETF trading volume does not equal the same amount of money flowing directly into SOL. Secondary-market turnover and new creations by the fund are two different things.
Watch these three levels next:
1️⃣ $113.2
The current 24-hour high. A high-volume breakout that holds around the time of the listing could open the way to a test of $115.
2️⃣ $110
A short-term psychological support level. Holding above it after the announcement would suggest the market isn’t clearly “selling the news.”
3️⃣ $109.2
The current 24-hour low. If it breaks below this level on high volume, watch for a possible retest of the 7-day low around $105.9.
The ETF listing is a confirmed event, but whether it translates into sustained demand will depend on actual trading and creation data.
Do you think ETF inflows will follow through tomorrow, or will we see a “sell the news” move first?
