New XRP and XLM addresses need to receive at least the minimum required reserve amount to be activated. Transfers below this threshold will fail.
If the deposit page shows a Memo or Tag, make sure to enter both the address and the Memo/Tag correctly.
When transferring $XRP to an exchange, you generally need to enter both the address and the destination tag.
