$ETH $542 million flowed out in one week! Are institutions really starting to turn bearish on Ethereum?
According to The Block’s analysis of SoSoValue data, U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs saw net outflows of about $542.1 million last week, their worst weekly performance since January this year. BlackRock’s ETHA accounted for about $477 million of the outflows, or roughly 88% of the total.
But ETF outflows don’t mean that all institutions are selling ETH, nor do they directly prove that Ethereum’s long-term fundamentals are deteriorating. Market corrections, portfolio rebalancing, and short-term shifts in risk appetite can all affect fund flows.
When ETFs see sustained outflows, can spot buying of ETH absorb the selling pressure—and when will institutional capital flow back in?
Do you think institutions are seeking short-term safety, or is Ethereum’s appeal to investors really starting to wane?
