MAGIC at $0.13—would you still chase it?
On the surface: up 100% in 7 days and 170% in 30 days, climbing from around $0.05 to $0.13. Market cap is $46 million, FDV is $47 million, and nearly all of the supply is circulating. Daily RSI is 68–71 and weekly RSI is 74—hot, but not yet at the extreme of 85. At $0.13, the price is in the upper-middle of the day's $0.116–$0.147 range. It hasn't broken out, but it hasn't broken down either.
First: this rally has no solid catalyst. It's riding on altcoin rotation and a tenuous connection to the AI narrative.
The Altcoin Season Index has climbed into the low 60s over the past month, as capital rotates out of BTC and into higher-beta small caps. MAGIC's own narrative has shifted from “Arbitrum gaming DAO” to “AI agent”:
MAGIC is being redefined as “a reserve currency for agents to pay for compute and governance.”
But there's no on-chain evidence of a surge in activity. TVL and the old products have already been wound down.
Second: two risks are still hanging overhead.
1. Supply overhang: The community is watching an unlock of about 13 million tokens from the ecosystem fund. With a total supply of 350 million and a market cap of $46 million, a concentrated influx of tokens could send the price sharply lower.
2. Brand contamination: The unrelated Southeast Asian “Treasure NFT” Ponzi scheme has a confusingly similar name. It could scare off people who don't check the contracts, and be used as an excuse during a sharp sell-off.
Third: the technicals suggest $0.13 isn't an entry point.
The daily price is above the 10-, 20-, 50-, 100- and 200-day moving averages. The 50-day MA is around $0.117, and the 200-day MA is around $0.08–$0.09, so the medium-term trend remains bullish. But the short-term trend turned bearish around $0.12—this is a pullback within an uptrend.
From $0.13, there's only 13% upside to $0.147 and about 23% to $0.16. Entering around the midpoint means your stop is either too tight and likely to get shaken out, or too wide to make the risk worthwhile.
