Zcash ETF-related contracts are here—but are you buying ZEC? 🔍
Binance has announced the launch of the ZCSHUSDT perpetual contract, whose underlying asset is Zcash ETF shares. Trading this contract is not the same as buying spot $ZEC or holding ETF shares, so make sure you understand the distinction.
According to the official announcement on October 12, ZCSHUSDT is scheduled to launch at 17:00 Beijing time that day. Related contracts for MSTU, SNPS, and RDW will launch at the same time. These contracts are part of Binance’s futures services and are settled in USDT. The announced terms include leverage of up to 20x, 24/7 trading, and funding fees settled every eight hours. They may be unavailable in some regions.
In practice, this gives traders another tool for taking long or short positions based on the price of the Zcash ETF. It expands the range of derivatives trading options, but does not directly prove that the ETF has received new subscriptions—let alone that the launch of a new contract means funds are buying ZEC.
⚠️ 24/7 trading ≠ the underlying ETF trading around the clock. Contracts can still be traded while traditional markets are closed, using the relevant mechanisms for the price index and mark price. Don’t treat every move in the contract market as an immediate reaction in the ETF market.
