I noticed analysts mentioning $HBAR alongside $XRP and $ADA more and more often—and realized this was the coin I knew the least about out of the three🧐. Time to fill that gap.

The first thing that surprised me: technically, Hedera isn’t a blockchain in the classic sense, but a hashgraph. It’s a different consensus mechanism that theoretically allows for higher throughput and more stable transaction fees than networks with traditional blocks.
The second difference is network governance. Hedera is governed by a council of several dozen major corporations and organizations (Google, IBM, and Boeing have been mentioned at various times). Decisions aren’t made by an anonymous community of miners, but by a defined group of participants. This offers a “corporate” and predictable approach, but also involves a trade-off with decentralization in the classic sense.
Third is its focus on enterprise applications: supply chains, asset tokenization, and corporate data—a niche closer to B2B infrastructure than DeFi farming.
The takeaway: $HBAR is interesting not as “the next $XRP,” but as a separate bet—that enterprise adoption will happen through structured, governed networks rather than fully decentralized ones.
This isn’t investment advice—I’m just sharing what I’ve learned😌
