The reseller was ordered to stop sales, and buyers who purchased through this channel were advised not to initialize their devices. First: buy a hardware wallet only from the manufacturer’s official store, even if another seller offers it for less. Second: if the box already contains a ready-made seed phrase or the device is “preconfigured,” that’s an immediate red flag. Third: the device itself should generate the seed phrase only when it’s first turned on—no one should dictate it to you.
Sometimes, the difference between secure storage and lost savings comes down to one bad purchase.
