Rate expectations will make more noise than the upgrade meeting this week. Ethereum $ETH is currently at 2556.46 USDT, up 2.22% over 24 hours—but that gain says nothing about what comes next with CPI. The Fed’s October meeting hasn’t happened yet, and CoinDesk is focusing on how inflation could affect rate expectations, with PPI also in the spotlight. The 189th All Core Developers Consensus meeting is at 10:00 ET on October 15, discussing Glamsterdam and Hegotá. I’ve circled the time, but I won’t use it to hedge macro risks. That day, Arbitrum $ARB DAO’s $USDG proposal goes to an offchain vote, expected to run through October 22. Two deadlines coincide on the 16th: the MAS consultation on stablecoin regulatory revisions closes at 11:59 ET, and the deadline for Balancer partner applications to extend the end date for certain v3 pools to November 30, citing the protocol’s liquidation plan. On the 12th, US bond markets are closed for Columbus Day, while stock markets remain open. Until the inflation data comes out, I’m treating that 2.22% as just volatility.
