Institutions are running, retail investors are rushing in: I don’t understand this market anymore
Last week, U.S. spot $BTC ETF outflows totaled $681 million, the highest since June. Institutions are voting with their feet.
But on the other side: small on-chain wallets are still adding to their positions, sentiment on the forums hasn’t collapsed, and buyers are still stepping in at 84000.
Historically, major ETF outflows are often followed by another short-term dip. But in every round of the “institutions flee, retail investors catch the falling knife” script, those who held on ended up having the last laugh.
The problem is, the macro backdrop is too tough this time: Treasury yields are at a 24-year high, the dollar is strong, and October has always been a volatile month.
Which side are you on? Are the institutions right, or are retail investors? 👇
