BTC is at 84,000, up 1.11% over the past 24 hours. I’ve laid out all the bullish and bearish evidence I could find today, one point at a time.
On the bullish side, BTC is up 1.11% over the past 24 hours, with short-term buying interest.
The bulls can point to a funding rate of 0.0011%, low enough not to create pressure in either direction.
One point in favor of a rise: the Fear & Greed Index is at 69 (Greed), suggesting sentiment is running hot.
Speaking from the buyers’ side, the Fear Index has rebounded by 8 points in a week, and sentiment is shifting.
On the bearish side, trading volume is only 13% of its seven-day peak—not enough to sustain a major move.
The bullish case has more evidence behind it. For a real move higher, volume needs to come back first. Without it, any rise is just a test and won’t go far.
Another possibility is that the market trades sideways and gradually wears the bulls down. I’ve seen both scenarios before, and I can’t tell which one we’re in right now.
I can’t say for certain here; this is just how I’m reading things at the moment.
For now, I’m watching just one number: whether trading volume can return to 80% of its seven-day peak. Until it gets there, I’ll take everything else with a grain of salt.
My plan is to make a note of it and stay out of the market for now.
