Someone asked, “What does ‘fair launch’ mean?”
I usually answer like this: In DeFi, YFI in 2020 is often cited as an example of a fair launch: no tokens were reserved for the team, and all tokens were distributed through liquidity mining. “Fair” refers to the launch process; it’s a separate matter from whether the price will fluctuate significantly or whether the token has long-term value.
