$BTC ETF funds suddenly flee on a massive scale!

Bitcoin saw net outflows of $681 million in a single week.

Three consecutive weeks of net inflows have officially come to an end.

ETH ETFs saw another $542 million in outflows over the same period!

The two markets lost a combined $1.223 billion. Who will step in to buy?

From October 5 to 9, spot Bitcoin ETFs in the U.S. market recorded cumulative net outflows of $681 million, ending a three-week streak of net inflows. Spot Ethereum ETFs saw net outflows of $542 million over the same period. BlackRock’s ETHA alone recorded outflows of as much as $477 million, accounting for around 88% of total net outflows from ETH ETFs. The two assets combined saw net outflows of $1.223 billion, signaling a marked cooldown in demand through institutional channels.

These figures warrant caution: sustained ETF outflows mean BTC and ETH have lost an important source of incremental buying in the short term, leaving market rebounds more dependent on spot-market demand. However, ETF net outflows do not mean that BlackRock and other issuers are actively selling their own holdings, nor can they be equated directly with capital fleeing the entire market. The key things to watch next are whether BTC ETF flows turn positive again and whether redemption pressure on ETHA begins to ease. These will directly affect how quickly market confidence recovers.

Weekly net outflows of $1.223 billion: the capital-flow picture is flashing amber.

If ETF inflows return next week, the current selling pressure could instead lay the groundwork for the next rally!
