$S This sell-off is worth watching.

It’s down 2.76% over 15m, with volume up to 1.46x, and price has broken straight through the lower end of the range from the last 20 5m candles. But OI is actually shrinking: -0.56% for 15m contracts and -0.37% for 1h, with little change in notional value.

This is a classic case of longs deleveraging, not new shorts entering to dump the price. The aggressive trade delta is -3.5%, and the buy/sell ratio is 0.93. There was selling, but it looks more like stop-loss orders getting pushed through than someone actively piling into shorts.

The OI anomaly percentile is still at 82.1%, so positioning remains crowded overall. 24h trading volume is just over 300 million, and market depth isn’t bad. But if longs keep trimming their positions here, there may be another wave of forced selling below to absorb.

For now, just watch—no rush to buy the dip.
