BTC is now at 83,573, up 0.84% over the past 24 hours. I’ve laid out all the bullish and bearish evidence I could find today, point by point.

On the bullish side, BTC is up 0.84% over the past 24 hours, with short-term buying pressure.
One thing the bulls can point to: the funding rate is 0.0005%, so low that it doesn’t create pressure in either direction.
One point in favor of a rise: the Fear and Greed Index is at 69 (Greed), meaning sentiment is running hot.
From the buyers’ perspective, the fear index has rebounded 8 points in a week, and sentiment is shifting.

On the bearish side, trading volume is only 8% of its seven-day peak—not enough to support a major move.

The bullish evidence is a little stronger. For the price to really move up, we’d first need to see volume return. Without it, any rise is just a test and won’t go far.

Another possibility is that the market moves sideways and gradually wears the bulls down. I’ve seen both scenarios play out, and I can’t tell which one we’re in right now.

I can’t say this one with certainty; it’s just how I’m reading things at the moment.

For now, I’m watching just one number: whether trading volume can get back to 80% of its seven-day peak. Until it does, I’m giving everything else less weight.

My move is to make a note of it and stay put.
