$BTC Sentiment Thermometer: Fear & Greed Index 69 (Greed), up 8 from yesterday.
When I first got into the space, I always thought the Fear & Greed Index was based on survey results. Later, I learned that it’s actually calculated mainly from several types of objective data, including price volatility, market momentum and trading volume, social media activity, Bitcoin’s share of the market cap, and search trends. Surveys aren’t the main source.
The same data can mean very different things in different market conditions, so don’t blindly apply a single rule.
