📰 Crypto and AI funding deals were clearly clustering last week. From October 5 to October 11, the global blockchain industry disclosed 11 funding rounds, totaling more than $219 million. Just looking at the amounts, Spiko’s $90 million Series B, Noah’s $38 million seed round, and OKX’s latest funding at a $25 billion valuation are all significant.

🔥 What’s more interesting is that the money isn’t being spread everywhere. A Tiger Research report noted that in the third quarter, capital leaned toward specific businesses such as RWA, stablecoin payments, licensing, payment capabilities, and institutional trading. Spiko’s tokenized cash fund now covers more than 25 jurisdictions, with $2.7 billion in assets under management; Noah plans to invest the funds in international remittances and regulatory expansion.

💡 This shows that institutions are increasingly backing infrastructure that can connect with traditional finance. Navra raised $19 million in a Series A to build a DeFi yield protocol, cash rails, and qualified custody; IPID raised $16 million in a Series A and plans to expand its U.S. payment rails, stablecoin offerings, and digital asset markets.

👀 AI is also heating up. DeepSeek is reportedly close to completing a funding round of at least $12 billion, Moonshot AI’s latest valuation is around $50 billion, and Manus’s parent company, Butterfly Effect, has also raised several hundred million dollars. The common thread between crypto and AI is clear: capital is flowing toward areas with real products and strong commercialization capabilities.

🤔 Which do you think is most likely to take off first in this funding cycle: RWA, stablecoin payments, or AI applications?
