Privacy coins are also looking to break into the ETF market? What could happen if Zcash opens the door to institutional investment?
The Winklevoss Zcash ETF filed an S-1 registration statement with the U.S. SEC on October 6, proposing to provide investors with corresponding price exposure by holding $ZEC . The news is worth watching, but filing an application and receiving final approval are two different things. For now, this should not be taken to mean that the ETF has been approved for listing.
What makes Zcash distinctive is its privacy protection. But bringing privacy-focused assets into traditional financial products also raises issues such as compliance, custody, and regulatory transparency. If approved in the future, the ETF could give institutional investors a new way to participate, but that does not guarantee that ZEC will rise.
Do you think a privacy coin ETF could bring new investment opportunities to Zcash, or will its privacy features become an obstacle to entering mainstream finance?
