On October 7, Polygon Labs announced TRON support for the “Polygon Open Money Stack.”
This will allow participating businesses to accept funds via bank transfers, debit cards, cash, and other methods, connect them to USDT on TRON, and, as needed, combine transfers to other chains with payouts in fiat currency.
The key point is that this is more than just a cross-chain bridge.
The idea is to bring fiat deposits and withdrawals, wallets, and cross-chain transfers together into a single payment flow.
This could make it easier for remittance services and fintech companies to incorporate the USDT liquidity that TRON excels in into real-world financial services.
However, this is only the first phase of support as of the announcement. It does not mean that all features will be available everywhere.
