Sui Foundation Puts $30 Million into an AI Data Protocol

The $30 million DATA Network received came from the Sui Foundation. The protocol will migrate entirely to Sui, its standalone chain will be retired, and the original DATA tokens will be mapped 1:1. Walrus will become its default storage layer, and the Trace registry has recorded 250 million contributions and processes more than 3 million receipts per day.

The money is buying a settlement channel for AI training data, bringing data contribution records and payment flows onto Sui. The Foundation itself will become the largest institutional holder, signaling its willingness to lock up tokens. The old network will keep running until the migration is complete, with the schedule limiting the window for selling pressure.

During the days when the migration goes live, will you chase the price gap before the mapping, or wait to see actual trading activity on-chain before making a move?
