Today (October 12), a special new member joined the U.S. stock market pre-market session: ticker symbol XRPN.

The backstory: Evernorth Holdings completed its merger with SPAC Armada Acquisition Corp. II (sponsored by Arrington XRP Capital Fund). The deal closed on October 9, U.S. Eastern Time. This was a standard SPAC listing route: the SEC declared its S-4 registration statement effective in August, Armada shareholders approved the deal at a September 30 meeting, and the company then listed directly, skipping the traditional IPO roadshow.

At closing, the company held approximately 473 million $XRP , plus about $300 million in cash (gross proceeds before transaction fees). Starting today, its common stock will trade on Nasdaq under the ticker XRPN. The company will also ring the Nasdaq closing bell on October 14.

The line-up is impressive: Arrington Capital, SBI Group, Ripple, Pantera Capital, Kraken, and GSR are all investors, while Citigroup served as exclusive adviser for the private placement. Founder and CEO Asheesh Birla has a clear vision: to build an “actively managed $XRP treasury” and increase the amount of $XRP represented by each share through institutional lending, DeFi yield strategies, ecosystem participation, and capital markets activity.

This has three implications:

First, for the $XRP ecosystem, it adds a major public-company buyer with audited financial statements and ongoing access to financing. Its share price is anchored to the $XRP on its balance sheet, giving institutions a regulated avenue for exposure beyond ETFs: buy the stock and indirectly hold $XRP .

Second, the “digital asset ecosystem treasury” narrative is spreading. Following BTC and ETH, $XRP now has its first major publicly listed treasury company (by CoinGecko’s calculations, it has the largest holdings among listed $XRP treasury companies). The race to accumulate major cryptocurrencies through corporate treasuries is spreading from Bitcoin to leading altcoins.

Third, the risks are just as real. A treasury company’s share price equals the coin price multiplied by a management premium (or discount). In a bull market, the gains can be amplified; when the coin price retreats, the discount can be severe. The excitement around the first day of trading may already have priced in expectations, so be cautious about chasing the price.

Evernorth has also pledged to provide institutional-grade capital to tokenized assets, on-chain credit markets, and settlement infrastructure in the future—but that promise will only be fulfilled once it actually puts money to work.
