What are “Max Fee” and “Priority Fee” in a wallet, and why is the amount actually spent often less than the limit?
The Gas target for each block is half the Gas limit, and the base fee can change by at most 12.5% per block.
Take note: If your transaction isn’t time-sensitive, you can set a lower priority fee. Raise it a little for urgent transactions—don’t set it unnecessarily high.
Under EIP-1559, the base fee paid for each Ethereum transaction is calculated at $ETH , and is burned. Currently 2534.86.
It’s okay to play it safe. Staying in the game matters more than making a big profit once.
