Two things happened last night.

One was leverage taken to the extreme. The Block said someone used 1,000x leverage on Papertrade to move the price of $ETH , netting $1.28 million overnight. Trading price action at that kind of leverage on decentralized perpetuals is playing with fire, and most people can't get that kind of execution speed.

The other was a regulatory development. CoinDesk reported that the industry is hoping the Supreme Court will take up a case involving prediction markets. It concerns the boundaries between the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission and state gaming commissions, as well as whether compliant prediction-market platforms can continue taking bets on sports and elections. Until a ruling, everyone is still testing the waters.

$BTC has been hovering around 84,000 over the past couple of days. With no strong inflows over the weekend, the broader direction still depends on what the Supreme Court and inflation data bring.
