Starknet ($STRK ) has set off market alarms with a brutal gain of over 33% in the past 24 hours and a cumulative rise of more than 105% this week, currently trading at the $0.1205 resistance level.

The catalyst is massive: the announcement that StarkWare plans to assess transitioning Starknet from an Ethereum Layer 2 to a sovereign, independent Layer 1 blockchain to achieve quantum resistance by 2027.

The fundamental hype is real, but trading this on a Sunday afternoon is an extremely high-risk zone for three technical reasons:

  • Overwhelming BTC dominance: With Bitcoin dominance holding firm at 59.2%, global altcoin liquidity is extremely fragile. Retail money is flowing into $STRK late, driven purely by FOMO, becoming exit liquidity for big traders.

  • The Sunday volume trap: With traditional markets closed, moving the price takes much less capital. Whales take advantage of this situation to artificially inflate charts and reverse the moves as soon as the Asian session opens. On-Chain alerts are reporting fake volume anomalies.

  • The Mega Unlock countdown: This October 15 (in just 4 days), a new monthly batch of 127 million $STRK tokens will be released directly to early investors and contributors, adding massive direct selling pressure.

🛡️ My strategy for the next few hours:

  • No chasing (No FOMO): Buying after a vertical rise on a Sunday is Russian roulette. If you're looking to enter, the price will tend to seek structural support levels due to the unlock's selling pressure.

  • No leverage: If you're going to be exposed to $STRK volatility, do it strictly on the Spot market. High leverage today is a liquidation sentence waiting to happen because of an unexpected wick.

Protect your capital and manage your risk! 🚀
