🔍 The source: Investigations began after massive fund losses were reported (estimated by analysts at between $86 million and $93 million in BTC, ETH, and Tron) among users who bought their devices through CryptoBilis, an authorized distributor in Southeast Asia.
🛑 Urgent measures: The distributor CryptoBilis has immediately paused all wallet sales. Ledger clarifies that its centralized systems and internal infrastructure have not been compromised; this was a physical supply chain attack.
⚠️ Official recommendation: If you recently bought a device through this reseller, do not set it up. If you are already using it, Ledger advises moving your funds immediately to a new wallet with a completely new and clean recovery phrase (seed phrase).
