"Expensive U.S. diesel, of Russian origin": An uncomfortable truth is thrown at the EU after the Putin-Trump deal.
The agreement reached by Russian President Vladimir Putin and his U.S. counterpart, Donald Trump, to supply Russian diesel to the U.S. market will lead to higher fuel prices in the European Union, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said in a video message on October 11.
“I warn anti-American and Russophobic politicians that they may soon be filling up at gas stations in the European Union with expensive American diesel—but diesel of Russian origin,” Fico said.
