Hammer Candlestick Pattern - Bullish Reversal at the Bottom

What is a Hammer?
A single candlestick that forms at the bottom of a downtrend, indicating that buyers took control after sellers tried to push the price lower.

Key characteristics:
- Small body at the top
- Long lower wick—at least twice the length of the body
- No upper wick, or a very small one
- Appears at the end of a downtrend, near a support area

Pattern psychology (why it happens):
- Sellers pushed the price sharply lower during the session
- Suddenly, buyers entered aggressively and pushed the price back up near the open
- A close near the high shows the market rejecting lower prices → momentum shifts bullish

Professional trading plan:

CONFIRMATION: Wait for a bullish confirmation candle to close above the hammer's high.
ENTRY: Enter above the confirmation candle's close.

STOP LOSS: Place the stop just below the hammer's wick.

TARGET: Aim for the nearest resistance, with a risk/reward ratio of 1:2 to 1:3.

Risk management tip: Combine it with rising trading volume, an oversold RSI, or a strong support area to increase reliability.

Summary: The hammer is a bullish reversal signal at the bottom, indicating that sellers have exhausted their strength and buyers have taken control. Always wait for confirmation before entering.
