$ETH Crypto Academician: Is Ethereum’s (ETH) correction on Oct. 12 still not over? The daily and 4-hour charts are both flashing warning signs—those who understand the charts are already waiting for one last drop

Ethereum is currently at 2525. To be honest, anyone who confidently tells you right now that it’s definitely going up or definitely going down should be blocked immediately. The charts are right here, and both bulls and bears have a case. The difference comes down to which time frame you’re looking at. The daily chart shows a pullback, the 4-hour chart shows a rebound, and the minute chart can reveal all sorts of wave patterns. The hardest part of trading isn’t analysis—it’s admitting you might be wrong. That’s why stop-losses matter: they’re not admitting defeat; they’re giving yourself a way out.

The daily candlestick chart has now pulled back to around 2525. In terms of moving averages, EMA60 is at 2462 and EMA90 at 2367. The medium-term bullish alignment remains intact, but price has already fallen below EMA15 and EMA30, and the short-term moving averages are turning down. As for the Bollinger Bands, the current price of 2526 is hugging the lower band at 2484, while the middle band at 2649 is the first resistance overhead. On the MACD, DIF has crossed below DEA, indicating that the short-term daily-chart correction is not over yet. However, note that the lower Bollinger Band at 2484 and EMA60 at 2462 form an overlapping support zone. If this area holds, the daily chart’s move is still a normal pullback within an uptrend. Only a decisive break below 2462 would call for a reassessment of the trend.

On the 4-hour chart, price is currently above EMA15 but is being held down by EMA30 and EMA60, with the moving averages in a bearish alignment. The rebound is a recovery after a decline. Price has moved back above the Bollinger middle band at 2494, while the upper band at 2535 is the immediate resistance. Bearish momentum on the MACD is fading, suggesting the 4-hour chart may be stabilizing and forming a base. The key is whether it can break through this small hurdle at 2535 on increased volume.

  Short-term levels to watch:

Long: If price finds support and stops falling in the 2490–2480 zone, set a 40-point stop-loss; targets are 2535–2580.

Short: If price stalls in the 2570–2580 zone, set a 40-point stop-loss; targets are 2520–2460.
