$UNI didn’t make it this far just because it had a first-mover advantage. More importantly, after all these years of competition, it remains a name you can’t overlook in the DEX space. Back then, AMM competitors were popping up everywhere, but few managed to stick around for the long haul. UNI has stood the test of time. Although its short-term price action has been weak and many people have started turning bearish again, they’ve forgotten that UNI rose from 2.8 to 10.7—more than tripling from the bottom.
When it comes to spot DEXs, look at UNI; for on-chain derivatives, look at HYPE. Both are certainly worth studying closely as standout projects in their respective fields.
